How many people in your church or organization are merely "attenders" vs. "advocates?"
Larry Osborne, a pastor of a church called North Coast stated once that the best way to grow your church or organization is to translate your attenders to advocates. Some organizations/churches are satisfied with keeping the status quo. Have we/you created advocates? Attenders will never invite/share with a friend
An advocate for Starbucks, Whataburger or In-n-Out Burger will not only openly state that they love those places, but will bring it to their friends in hopes that that they would share in the opinion. You've probably done something similar.
So, today, I met a woman in the office asking for a copy of last weeks' message on CD. We record and podcast every message here at The Bridge. She stated that she buys a copy of the message and gives them to a friend.
...every week
(Maybe we should give her a free weekly copy!)
So the trick is... How do we generate that sort of passion in more than that one person? Are we doing that?
